Chris Stillwell
Vice President, Strategic Finance & Capital Markets
- Chris Stillwell oversees strategic finance, M&A, and capital markets activities for HGP Intelligent Energy, driving the financial strategy behind HGP's advanced nuclear development programs.
- Prior to HGP, Chris was an Investment Banking Associate at Bank of America in the Natural Resources & Energy Transition group, where he executed multi-billion-dollar M&A and capital markets transactions across the energy sector, including acquisition financings and capital raises for energy transition companies.
- Before Wall Street, Chris spent three years at Kearney in Dubai advising government and corporate clients on M&A integration and organizational strategy, and four years as a U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, where he led 30 personnel and managed $27MM in defense assets including unmanned aircraft systems.
- Chris holds an MBA from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business and a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University's Elliott School.
- He is a FINRA-licensed securities professional (SIE, Series 79, Series 63).
Arvind Kumar
Senior Technical Lead, AI
- Arvind Kumar leads HGP Intelligent Energy's scientific and quantitative research functions, overseeing its AI/ML initiatives, GPU-accelerated simulation platforms, and electricity market modeling capabilities, the computational core of HGP's grid-integrated nuclear power strategy.
- With over 30 years of experience across control systems, quantitative finance, aerospace engineering, and real-time software, Arvind brings a strong combination of physics-based modeling and power market expertise. He has developed quantitative models for electricity and energy commodity markets across PJM, MISO, ERCOT, and CAISO, including real-time price forecasting using ARIMA and ARCH models, pricing Financial Transmission Rights, and building algorithmic trading systems for market participation. Arvind previously worked with HGP founder and CEO Gregory A. Forero at UBS, serving as a quantitative analyst during Mr. Forero’s tenure as Head of Energy Derivatives, a collaboration that now continues at HGP.
- Most recently at NASA Johnson Space Center, Arvind served as a Modeling and Simulation Engineer on the Artemis program, working on the Guidance Navigation and Control of the lunar lander simulator for SpaceX Starship and Blue Origin's MK2 landers, and on the hardware and software of the audio echo canceler for the xEMU spacesuit, for which he received an individual Excellence Award for hardware-software integration.
- His command of numerical methods, Monte Carlo simulation, optimization algorithms, and real-time embedded systems drives HGP's AI surrogate modeling work and supports the autonomous reactor operations framework at the center of HGP's DOE Genesis FOA engagement.
- Master of Science — University of Chicago | Master of Engineering, Electrical Communication Engineering — Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
Thomas Donnelly
Nuclear Operations Engineer
- Thomas Donnelly brings over nine years of hands-on U.S. Navy nuclear reactor experience to HGP Intelligent Energy, providing direct operational expertise in naval reactor systems that is foundational to HGP's mission to answer the nation's call to bring solutions to the nuclear industry.
- As Lead Reactor Technician aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), Thomas led 86 sailors in the Reactor Controls Division, overseeing operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of nuclear instrumentation and control systems across two reactor plants during multiple sea trials and Pacific deployments, including the first-in-class installation of a critical Reactor Safety system.
- He conducted extensive reactor instrumentation maintenance during Docking Planned Incremental Availability (DPIA) and set maintenance standards and quality/efficacy protocols for all reactor plant practices under his supervision.
- A graduate of the Naval Nuclear Power School and Prototype program (MTS 626) in Charleston, SC, where he completed 600+ hours of advanced training in reactor physics, thermodynamics, electrical theory, and instrumentation, Thomas was selected as Crew A Lead and was the first from his crew to achieve full qualification.
- He previously served as Assistant Training Officer at Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), managing training compliance across multiple Naval vessel platforms.
- His deep knowledge of naval reactor plant control and instrumentation, safety systems, and maintenance operations directly informs HGP's approach to translating proven naval nuclear technology into land-based commercial power generation.
