About HGP Intelligent Energy
HGP Intelligent Energy is a Texas-based energy and technology development company focused on repurposing proven nuclear propulsion technology for commercial power generation.
Energy Supply Chain Sovereignty = National Defense
Supply chain resilience is now a critical factor in driving valuations, as geopolitical events and social media posts from leadership can immediately affect the attractiveness of deals. This presents an investment edge for companies that can build domestic supplier networks and overcome critical mineral and manufacturing bottlenecks.
HGP finances projects that retool, repower, repurpose, or replace energy infrastructure that has ceased operations and “support or enable the provision of known or forecastable electric supply at time intervals necessary to maintain or enhance grid reliability or other system adequacy needs.
HGP Intelligent Energy is a Texas-based energy and technology development company focused on repurposing proven nuclear propulsion technology for commercial power generation.
HGP is a leading energy infrastructure and storage resource developer that brings decades of market knowledge to deploy investment-grade assets to power grids, accelerating the energy transition. The HGP team and founders have decades of deep domain experience in commodity, land development, transmission, engineering, finance, trading, and risk management.

- Prior to HGP, Chris was an Investment Banking Associate at Bank of America in the Natural Resources & Energy Transition group, where he executed multi-billion-dollar M&A and capital markets transactions across the energy sector, including acquisition financings and capital raises for energy transition companies.
- Before Wall Street, Chris spent three years at Kearney in Dubai advising government and corporate clients on M&A integration and organizational strategy, and four years as a U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, where he led 30 personnel and managed $27MM in defense assets including unmanned aircraft systems.
- Chris holds an MBA from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business and a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University's Elliott School.
- He is a FINRA-licensed securities professional (SIE, Series 79, Series 63).
Arvind Kumar
- Arvind Kumar leads HGP Intelligent Energy's artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives, developing advanced computational tools and AI-driven models to optimize nuclear reactor performance, safety analysis, and energy market operations.
- Arvind brings over 25 years of experience at the intersection of aerospace simulation, quantitative modeling, and software engineering.
- Most recently at NASA Johnson Space Center, he served as a Modeling and Simulation Engineer on the Artemis program, developing guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for the SpaceX Starship and Blue Origin MK2 lunar landers and earning an individual Excellence Award for hardware-software integration.
- His deep expertise in numerical methods, Monte Carlo simulation, optimization algorithms, and MATLAB combined with extensive experience building real-time systems in C, C++, and Python directly supports HGP's GPU-accelerated nuclear thermal-hydraulic simulation and AI surrogate modeling platforms.
- Prior to NASA, Arvind built high-frequency trading systems at UBS and developed quantitative models for electricity and energy commodity markets including PJM, MISO, ERCOT, and CAISO experience directly relevant to HGP's grid-integrated nuclear power strategy.
- He holds a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Thomas Donnelly
- Thomas Donnelly brings over nine years of hands-on U.S. Navy nuclear reactor experience to HGP Intelligent Energy, providing direct operational expertise in naval reactor systems that is foundational to HGP's Medium Naval-Derived Reactor (MNDR) program.
- As Lead Reactor Technician aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), Thomas led 86 sailors in the Reactor Controls Division, overseeing operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of nuclear instrumentation and control systems across two reactor plants during multiple sea trials and Pacific deployments including the first-in-class installation of a critical Reactor Safety system.
- He conducted extensive reactor instrumentation maintenance during Docking Planned Incremental Availability (DPIA) and set maintenance standards and quality/efficacy protocols for all reactor plant practices under his supervision.
- A graduate of the Naval Nuclear Power School and Prototype program (MTS 626) in Charleston, SC where he completed 600+ hours of advanced training in reactor physics, thermodynamics, electrical theory, and instrumentation Thomas was selected as Crew A Lead and was the first from his crew to achieve full qualification.
- He currently serves as Assistant Training Officer at Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), managing training compliance across multiple Naval vessel platforms.
- His deep knowledge of naval reactor plant control and instrumentation, safety systems, and maintenance operations directly informs HGP's approach to translating proven naval nuclear technology into land-based commercial power generation.
